Help for Vaginal Candida Infections
New research shows that silk underwear can reduce itching and redness associated with recurrent vaginal Candida infections. Half of the study participants were wearing panties made of silk, and the other half was wearing panties made of cotton. After six months, 90% percent of the silk group had fewer symptoms and candida relapse was reduced by 50 percent. Silk has bactericidal properties and absorbs moisture, preventing too much moisture, which is one of the major risk factors for recurrent vaginal Candida infections.
